"My hobby is to sing, of course. I love to make my own songs. And I think my fans are waiting to hear this album too."

Tell us more about ur soon-to-be-released album?
It has 14 songs. I think, I included 2 gospel songs composed by my bestfriend Christ Bwee, 2 politically thoughts-provoking songs. One of those is also composed by my bestfriend. The rest has everything to do with love songs.

Out of the many songs you have, what’s your most favorite? And which song do you think will be a hit for your fans?
“My Valentine Is You” is my fav and the title for the album too. And, I love it so much. Trust me, I also listen to it many times over when I am super-bored. The meaning of the song is, “I am so lucky to have someone who loves me to death. I am so lucky and thankful to the angel protecting me at all times. For that, this special day is yours, and for me to thank you..something like that” As for the fans out there, I can’t say which song they will like the most.

You said you would release it on June?
Yes, we have this national day coming to Omaha, Nebraska. That’s when we get to see so many lovely faces of Karenni people. And, it’s also a chance for me to meet up with my dear fans who have been my secondary motivation for what I am doing as an entertainer.

How did you learn to sing?
I just sing. No training of any sort. I don't know if I consider my singing good but I have to admit I tried the best I could, with the time I had. But I gotta say “Saw Nay Thorn” and “Phary Reh brucelee” are some singers I admire. Many of you know them well. Great voices and good meanings in their songs.

Any word for fans? Or future fans?
I wanna thank them for listening to my songs. Without them, there’s no reason to make musics in the first place. Well, my hope is that my to-be fans will make a time to listen to the song lyrics and feel them. I think, some songs are so meaningful if you care to pay attention. One other thing, I like to add, is that we don’t have that many Karenni population. And, it costs a lot of money to make a Karenni album. Mostly if we are in this “Karenni music industry,” we are gonna lose some money, or a lot. But my hope is that, Karenni people will try to support Karenni musicians as we, the musicians, are going through our so-called “trials and errors” moment. As you know, we don’t have that many Karenni songs out there, compared to other Burmese ethnics. That’s a shame. Why are we so behind in so many fields of development? Think about it.

San Antonio District 8 Councilman Ron Nirenberg has called on the City's Code Enforcement Division to investigate problems at the Windbury Apartments on Gardendale. The complex is in Nirenberg's district.

Our investigation in one apartment found a collapsed bathroom ceiling, mold, spiders nests, leaking faucets, soggy carpet, and the family of six has been living without air conditioning for the last six months. Bo Meh says for all of this, her family pays $787 a month for a two-bedroom apartment.

"My six-year-old daughter was on the toilet and the ceiling collapsed on her," said Bo Meh, a refugee tenant from the Southeast Asian country of Myanmar.

The Center for Refugee Services says the problem is widespread at the complex in which many refugees live.

The Center's Jann Fractor calls it scandalous. "It looks like a slum," Fractor said.

We contacted the Windbury Apartment management and they repeatedly told News 4 San Antonio they could not disclose any information. Their repeated responses came from our questions to them about the deplorable living conditions.

However, Councilman Nirenberg plans to inspect the complex later this week and we expect to learn the results of the Code Compliance investigation.

A St. Paul man has been charged with assaulting his 9-year-old son by choking him with a rope.
Mi Kay Leh, 41, was charged Monday in Ramsey County District Court with domestic assault by strangulation, as well as terroristic threats.

According to a criminal complaint, police were sent to Leh's home Friday after receiving a call from a neighbor. Police found the 9-year-old victim with a mark across his neck; the boy's brother said Leh had wrapped a rope around the boy's neck and dragged him across their living room floor.

When interviewed by police, Leh originally denied using a rope on his son. He later said he was too drunk to remember, the complaint added. Leh was released from Ramsey County Jail on Monday.

Soe Reh, Lu Reh , and Su Reh coming to court
Prosecutors in Douglas County have charged three men for capturing and killing more than 200 protected birds.

KETV NewsWatch 7 was the only media at the courthouse as So Reh, Lu Reh and Su Reh of Omaha were in court Monday.

The men are charged with possessing protected birds, prohibited acts with protected birds and also for fishing without permits back in June.

Prosecutors say a Nebraska State Patrol trooper was looking for a stolen vehicle at Lake Cunningham when the trooper caught So Reh, Lu Reh and Su Reh with dozens of swallows.

Then, the trooper found even more at an apartment near 44th and Cuming streets, where two of the men lived.

Some were still alive, others cooked and inside their fridge.

"The reports indicate that were a variety from young to older birds. I don't know of any nests that were destroyed," said Omaha city prosecutor David Smalheiser.

All three men were arrested then.

Now, there is an investigation into whether the 207 protected birds were for more than just food.

"If they killed a lot of the adults, then some of the babies might have died, if they weren't able to feed their babies, too," said Jeanine Lackey, director of research at Fontenelle Forest.

Killing, possessing even disturbing birds like swallows has been illegal since the Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918.

Lackey says there are plenty of reasons to protect them.

"Swallows eat a lot of insects, so they're helpful to have around," she said.

Now, the concern for prosecutors is how to keep the birds around for the future.

'We need to have a level playing field both for the public and for our protected species," said Smalheiser.

So Reh, Lu Reh and Su Reh tell KETV NewsWatch 7 they speak very little English and are from Burma. One of them moved here just nine months ago.

The men will be back in court in September with a translator.

If convicted, they could each be fined more than $40,000, plus go back to jail.

Right now, we're waiting to hear whether they will face any federal charges.

finally,
we fall apart.
our shapeless souls;
break into pieces,
and hopeless rains;
spread all over our faces.
while thunder of ignorance
lightning of jealousy
and the massive storms
of doubts and insanity
erupting in our blinded mind,
spoiling our rusty hearts
and leaving our brains paralyzed
by the name of love,
then we kiss goodbye
in our own dreams.
